DESCRIPTION:Join in with volunteering activities at our pilot Green Hub in Bradford\, Horton Community Farm. You’ll be helping to provide local food\, enhancing an urban wildlife area\, and improving the space for the local community. Along the way\, you’ll get to learn new skills\, meet new people\, and have a go at a range of different tasks and activities. \nNature Volunteering\nEvery Wednesday and Friday\, 9:30am – 3pm \n27th September: Enhancing our large pond with new plants\, and making a hedgehog box\, and installing a camera\n11th October: Adding a splash of early spring colour by planting bulbs\n25th October: Installing bird boxes – new real estate for our feathered friends\n8th and 22nd November: Working on our willow dome\, weaving a new roof\, and repairing damage.\n6th and 20th December: Extending our path network through the wilds\n10th and 24th January and 7th February: Repairing a section of dry stone wall\n21st February: Helping clean up the site with some litter picking\n6th March: Encouraging diversity by removing invasive plant species. \nFind out more here… \nThese events are run by Horton Community Farm
